You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighbourhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. Represent your car class, your crew, and your turf in Need for Speed Carbon, the next revolution in racing games.

[edit] Widescreen Support

[edit] Demo

The Need for Speed Carbon demo does not have native widescreen support. The only method currently available to force widescreen resolutions is by using a memory editing program such as ArtMoney[1]. A tutorial to use this method can be found at the Widescreen Gaming Forum website.[2]

Please note, using this method will make the game lose some vertical view. Look at the screenshots below for an example.

[edit] Full Version

The full version does not have native widescreen support. The ArtMoney method still works but an easier method has been discovered. The game executable can be patched to run custom resolutions using the Universal Widescreen Patcher.

To use this method, download UniWS and copy and paste this into your patches.ini file.

THE INI IS BELOW
[Apps]
version=1.03

a0=Need For Speed Carbon

[Need For Speed Carbon]
details=Select the 640x480 resolution in game to use your custom resolution.
checkfile=nfsc.exe

sig=80020000C701E0010000
sigwild=0000110000

Then run the program, enter your desired resolution, browse to the directory where you installed the game and click Patch. Select the 640x480 resolution in game to use your custom resolution.
