If doesnt work,

check your version, check what config you are chanching (in my case i edited native config, but each mod have its own), if nothing helps, delete config and launch game, then edit.

[edit] HUD stretching

Running Doom 3 and RoE in 1920 x 1080 HD resolution with various texture/shadow/lighting mods and it looks fantastic. The only things holding it back are the HUD and PDA screens. Is there any way to get these to display in a widescreen-compatible mode?
